With a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, our IT team plays a crucial role in shaping the digital future of hospitality.Pay rate: $15.50/hourDuration: 12 weeksLocation: Housing not provided - candidates must live within commutable distance to Ocoee, FLJob DescriptionThe Quality Assurance / Software Test Intern works as a supporting member of the QA Team and works with the QA Manager and Project Test Leads. This person will learn from and help the lead testers on the applications and integrations for their assigned projects. As an IT QA Intern, you will: Review business / software requirements and provide input as neededPrepare test cases, test scripts and test data as neededBuild project documentation for QAExecute manual test cases and be involved in exploratory testingReport defects and assist in their understandingIdentify overall quality issues that could affect the applications under testCreate end of sprint presentations or demosQualificationsKnowledge of Test Management tools such as TestRail, Qase, qTest, PractiTest, Zephyr, etc.Knowledge of defect tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, Monday, MantisKnowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, DB2, etc.Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting languageEducation & CertificationsCurrently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related fieldSkills/KnowledgeAbility to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Figma, or Tableau is a bonusAnalytical mindset with strong attention to detail and good problem-solving abilitiesStrong interest in product management, technology, and customer-focused designStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present ideas in a group settingKnowledge of the difference between business and functional requirements and able to provide inputKnowledge of functional testing processesKnowledge of software development lifecycles and associated test techniquesWhat You'll GainReal-world experience in a QA environment within a large hospitality organizationExposure to Agile frameworks and QA testing methodologyMentorship from experienced QA and IT professionalsOpportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that reach thousands of guestsAdditional InformationWhy Westgate?Get access to your pay as you need it with our Daily Pay benefitWellness ProgramsFun, family cultureExclusive discounts for Team Member (i.e., hotels, resorts, restaurants, entertainment, etc.)Advancement & development opportunitiesCommunity Involvement ProgramsWestgate Resorts is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
