Job Description
A prominent global Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity group in the Dallas office. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile corporate transactions, including private equity and M&A matters, within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work, with a particular focus on private equity and/or M&A, gained at a nationally recognized law firm.
Responsibilities
Handle complex private equity and M&A transactions, from deal structuring to negotiation and execution. Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, and related documentation. Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients, collaborating closely with senior attorneys and client teams. Conduct legal research and analysis, producing high-quality written work to support transaction goals.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (JD) required. 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work, specifically in private equity and M&A. Strong academic credentials, with a demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills. Client-focused, team-oriented approach to legal work.
Compensation & Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is
$225,000 – $420,000 , with salary determinations based on factors such as experience, job history, graduation year, and practice area.
