Job Summary
Reports to Coordinator, Surgical Services. The Operating Room Technician is a professional, responsible for scrubbing on all cases, maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies, and assisting the Operating Room Staff to maintain the daily running of the Operating Room, by carrying out support assignments.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. Required Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent. 1 year experience as an ORT required Skills & Abilities: Must be able to understand written and verbal communications in English.
Physical Requirements:
Sit: Up to 3 hours/day Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours Bend/Stoop: Up to 6 hours Reach: Up to 6 hours Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs Lift/Push/Pull: 50 lbs, over 50# with assistance or equipment This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function of this position.

Graduate of an Operating Room Technician training course or certification after on the job training.
Current BLS certification.
