Overview
As a
Space Operations Analyst , you will support space mission analysis by applying systems engineering principles and operations analysis to shape future space capabilities. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of digital models, analytic pipelines, and system architectures that support space domain awareness, command and control, and combat power planning.
This role is highly collaborative and mission-focused. You will work directly with Department of Defense stakeholders to define operational problems, identify desired outcomes, and develop modeling-based approaches that support strategic and tactical decision-making across the space domain.
This is a fully on-site position in Colorado Springs, CO.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with government and military stakeholders to define mission needs and operational problem sets. Translate operational scenarios and campaign-level concepts into structured modeling inputs.
Apply systems engineering and operations analysis methods to evaluate space mission capabilities and architectures.
Contribute to the development of analytic products that inform planning, acquisition, and operational decisions.
Interpret simulation and study results to generate insights that support decision-makers.
Communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Participate in agile planning processes and collaborate with analysts, developers, and subject matter experts.
Ensure all work remains aligned with mission priorities and is technically sound.

Required:
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with
10+ years
of professional experience, or
Master's degree in a STEM field with
8+ years
of experience
Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree
Space and Operational Expertise Deep experience in
operations/campaign-level assessment
of the joint, multi-domain warfight
Background in
joint space warfighting , gained through operational, science & technology, or test organizations
Understanding in multiple areas of space operations, such as: Astrodynamics / Orbital Mechanics
Rendezvous and Proximity Operations
Satellite Communications
Missile Warning / Missile Defense
Space-based PNT
Remote Sensing / Environmental Monitoring
Command and Control (C2)
Battle Management
Space Domain Awareness (SDA)
Analytical & Technical Skills Exposure to modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Soft Skills & Work Ethic Demonstrated success working collaboratively with stakeholders to solve complex problems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity, initiative, and a drive to continuously learn and improve
Security Clearance Active
Top Secret
clearance with
SCI eligibility
U.S. citizenship
required
Preferred:
Experience with
SysML
and
Cameo Systems Modeler
or similar MBSE tools
Familiarity with

Target salary range: $90,270 - $189,108 Disclaimer:
