Remote Medical Collection Specialist
Remote 8 week contract opportunity with a large health system in VA! We are seeking remote medical collection specialists to join the contact center team and assist patients with updating payment information and navigating the new billing system. Key responsibilities include: Contacting patients to update credit card information for recurring payment plans that did not transfer to the new EPIC system. Communicating changes with empathy and professionalism to ensure patients feel supported and informed. Offering and explaining payment plan options and terms. Handling inbound calls related to billing questions and payment plans. Working from a designated EPIC work queue to identify and reach out to affected patients. Supporting overflow calls to the main billing line and assisting with patient inquiries. Educating patients on the new billing experience and helping re-establish autopay setups. Top skills required: Medical billing customer service experience, especially handling payments over the phone. Proficiency in EPIC. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Preferred skills (nice to have): Experience with phone systems and patient access workflows. Strong data entry skills. Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM. Why join this project?
