Wellness Coordinator

The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Wellness Coordinator. The preferred schedule for this position will be Monday through Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm, and Friday 8:00am-12:00pm. The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementations, and oversight of wellness programs at the Redding Rancheria that promote a healthy lifestyle for employees, Tribal Members, and their families. This role involves planning, coordinating, and evaluating wellness initiatives designed to support physical, emotional, mental, and social wellbeing. Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred in exercise science or a related area. CPR/AED certification. 1 to 3 years of clerical experience. Be dependable, reliable and possess organizational skills. Possession a valid and current California Driver's License. Must have reliable transportation. Possess two to five years current experience working directly with health and wellness promotion programs. Experience working with corporate wellness is highly desirable. To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess intermediate level knowledge of personal computers and software including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher in addition to proficiency with Internet Explorer. Working knowledge of Access helpful but not required. Certifications in Personal Training or Fitness Specialist helpful but not required. Must pass pre-employment drug screening. Indian preference. Essential Job Duties: Design, develop, and implement effective wellness programs, events, and initiatives for employees and Tribal Members of the Redding Rancheria Tribe. Coordinate with Sr. Director of Human Resources and COO the ongoing operations of the Redding Rancheria Wellness program. Design, compile and market current wellness activities through the Redding Rancheria for the purpose of keeping employees up to date regarding current wellness activities that support all levels of health Develop and maintain a plan to distribute wellness information (goals, activities, etc.) for the purpose of relaying information and promoting the wellness program. Evaluate wellness program participation satisfaction through surveys, feedback, and activity participation for the purpose of providing a method for determining success of wellness program. Develop, monitor and follow wellness budget guidelines. Prepare regular activity and participation reports for the purpose of monitoring effectiveness and efficiency of wellness program. Build relationship with employees to support each person on their wellness journey. Provide a variety of activities to encourage all employees to participate. Work with committees within the community representing Redding Rancheria such as: Healthy Shasta, Bike Month etc. Coordinate wellness screenings, farmer's markets, workshops, and fitness activities. Support the integration of wellness goals into organizational culture and policies. Manage contracts for fitness instructors, ensuring proper documentation, scheduling, and performance expectations. Foster professional relationships with fitness instructors and wellness vendors, addressing questions, concerns, or logistical needs. Ensure fitness equipment at each Redding Rancheria gym is properly functioning and maintained is provided on a regular basis. Provide wellness program updates regularly to management teams.
