Job Description
Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Staff
Starting Rate
$11.35/hr - commensurate with experience
Available Hours
Weekdays 9a-2p
25-30 hours per week
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clean and sanitize all assigned areas (mop, dust, vacuum, windows, trash/recycling, pool/laundry as needed).
Restock restroom and common-area supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels) and request reorders when low.
Maintain exterior areas: empty/replace outdoor trash and recycling, sweep entrances/walkways.
Set up/tear down rooms and furniture for events; return spaces to standard layout.
Operate custodial equipment safely (motorized and non-motorized, including power washer).
Inspect for hazards or damage; record and report repair needs and incidents; escalate maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director.
Secure areas during shift and uphold YMCA safety and service standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years custodial/housekeeping experience preferred.
Able to read and follow instructions, procedures, and safety manuals.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment; safe handling practices.
Reliable, service-oriented, and collaborative.
