The Division of Neurology at Nemours Children's Health - Jacksonville, FL, in partnership with Mayo Clinic Florida, is seeking a
Chief of Neurology
to lead its clinical and academic missions.

and a Pediatric Neurology Residency program with
3 trainees per year
(total 15 residents), in collaboration with Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. It is part of a neuroscience institute that includes three neurosurgeons and is affiliated with
Wolfson Children's Hospital , a 280-bed facility. The division features an 8-bed neuro-critical care unit equipped with portable MRI and intracranial long-term monitoring. Our epilepsy program, a
NAEC Level 4
center, offers comprehensive services including presurgical evaluations, intraoperative monitoring, minimally invasive robotic surgery, responsive neurostimulation, and a ketogenic diet program.
The
Division Chief
is a physician leader who provides vision, oversight, and guidance, fostering clinical excellence and academic growth. The role involves collaboration across Nemours campuses in Orlando and Delaware, as well as academic partnerships with Mayo Alix School of Medicine - Florida and the University of Florida-Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will be a nationally recognized academic leader with achievements in clinical expertise, scholarship, and research productivity. Academic appointments at Mayo Clinic, Department of Neurology, will align with the candidate’s accomplishments.
Key responsibilities include:
Optimizing clinical services and managing clinical workload within the division
Leading and supporting Nemours’ missions of academic excellence
Fostering external funding acquisition in coordination with Nemours Research Strategy
Supporting clinical training and education for students, residents, and fellows
Promoting a culture that recognizes clinical research participation as a standard of care
Encouraging faculty involvement in clinical trial development
Recruiting and retaining qualified professional staff
Managing fiscal and operational aspects of the division

Our facilities include a main campus clinic connected via skybridge to the hospital, ORs, and inpatient units. Our research and clinical trials are supported by a dedicated team and can span across all Nemours sites. Wolfson Children's Hospital is the region’s top destination for premature and critically ill newborns, with a 70-bed Level IV NICU and the area's only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
