A PRN opportunity is available for a Sleep Technician to join an excellent team! Entity: Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type: Employee Worker Sub-Type: PRN Cost Center: CC001210 FLO - Echo / Vascular (FMC) Pay Rate Type: Hourly Pay Grade: Health-25 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 8 Job Description: Performs Nocturnal Polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency studies and CPAP titrations through the use of specialized equipment. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent. Under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders. Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis. Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent Licenses/Certificates: Current BLS or obtained during introductory period. Must be enrolled in ASTEP program with completion and successful registry completed in twelve months. Maintains AASM Registry: RPSGT, RST or RCP with SDS (submit 50 CEU's every 5 years) required.
