Required Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program. Required Experience: None Preferred Experience: Six (6) to twelve (12) months of pharmacy experience. Required Certification/License/Registry:
FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician). CPhT credential from the PTCB or the NHA within one (1) year post-hire. Responsibilities
Your Role: Under the direct supervision* of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system.
* Direct Supervision: A pharmacist gives specific instructions on all assignments. A pharmacist reviews the technician’s work for completeness and accuracy, or the technician performs tasks with inherent checks built into the nature of the work.
Responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, and delivering supplies to patient care areas. Reports To: Director/Pharmacy (JC: 039358), Supervisor/Pharmacy (JC: 024601), or Pharmacist (JC: 021702) Supervises: None
