The Knight Lab is looking for a six-month term-limited Research Lab Specialist Intermediate to work as part of the research team to work toward a better understanding of antiphospholipid syndrome and to identify new treatments for a more personalized and proactive care plan. Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day 2:1 Match on retirement savings Responsibilities: Operate a wire myography system used for quantifying mouse vascular function ex vivo, as well as train and assist others with the systems use. Coordinate ongoing research focused on diabetes-accelerated atherosclerosis with other Departments and Divisions. Develop moderately complex research experiments focused on diabetes-accelerated endothelial dysfunction and frank atherosclerosis, including suggesting options for improving quality and identifying potential problems. Conduct an analysis of acquired data and implement relevant research methodology based on the outcome of the analysis. Co-author publications and co-present results at national meetings. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a recognized field of science or learning. 4-5 years of experience Desired Qualifications: Education and Experience: Masters degree and 4 to 5 years related experience. This is a term-limited appointment. At the end of the stated term, your appointment will terminate, and will not be eligible for Reduction-in-Force (RIF) benefits. This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct.
