Sales Outfitter Position
The Sales Outfitter performs various selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. Essential functions include supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers, demonstrating product to customers, replenishing product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines, remaining a product expert through ongoing product knowledge training, and remaining knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintaining pricing and signing. The Sales Outfitter also assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves, restocks merchandise as required, and keeps the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies. They follow all company policies and procedures, providing a legendary experience for every customer by assisting them in making buying decisions. Experience/qualifications include a minimum degree required of high school education or equivalent experience. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include the ability to calculate figures, communicate in a friendly and professional manner, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and operate a computerized point of sale register system. Travel requirements are not applicable. Physical requirements include constantly standing and/or walking during shifts, occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., communicating with others to exchange information, occasionally repeating motions, operating machinery and/or power tools, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly, occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more, working in tight and confined spaces, and working in noisy environments. Independent judgment is required to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. The Sales Outfitter chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems and often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
