Job summary: We are looking for an Arista Solutions Architect for a large Data Center migration project for our customer. The project involves migrating their current Cisco VxLAN environment to Arista fabric across 500+ racks.
Location: Plano, Texas
Job type: Permanent
Salary: $160,000 - 175,000 per year
Work hours: 8am to 5pm
Education: Bachelors
Responsibilities:
Map data center networking solutions to business technology requirements, leveraging Bank of America Data Network Standards.
Design data center constructs, supervise implementation, verify functionality, and act as a technical consultant throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with line-of-business and technical staff to understand and fulfill project requirements.
Engage in high severity incidents and problem tickets related to data network redesigns.
Adjust designs to meet cost, reliability, and functionality requirements and communicate complex designs with technology partners.
Assist in training junior associates.
Engage with program management and product engineering teams for process improvements.
Review and update system documentation for accuracy.
Provide feedback to product teams regarding standard products and business requirements.
Qualifications:
End-to-end knowledge of Data Center technical environments.
Experience supporting large enterprise or carrier data center network infrastructure.
At least 7 years working with switching equipment (architecting or designing network solutions).
Understanding of trends such as Virtualization, TRILL/Fabric Path, Blade technologies, GRID computing, Low Latency switching, and SDN.
Thorough knowledge of switching/routing products and their functionalities.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
Strong problem-solving skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication skills across various organizational levels.
Quick learner with willingness to train others.
Skills:
Focus on Arista Fabric, CloudVision, and EOS.
Experience with Arista fabric design and implementation, EOS features, and CVP automation.
Experience migrating from Cisco to Arista environments.
Strong expertise in data center technologies.
Over 10 years in Information Technology.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
