We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and services. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, manage projects, and contribute to technical decisions, while collaborating across teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable and high-performance cloud architectures.
Functionally decompose complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined, executable tasks
Share in the ownership of an architectural vision and actively pursue incremental progress
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance requirements and ensure they are met.
Develop and optimize systems for performance and scalability.
Implement best practices for enterprise readiness, including security, compliance, and reliability.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.u00A0 As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of professional software development experience
Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on performance and scalability.
Proven track record of leading agile development teams.
Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
Expertise with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Effectiveness with performance monitoring and optimization tools.
Programming experience in a modern language like C# and clean system design using SOLID principles.
Understanding of SQL and relational database best practices.
Hands-on experience in full-stack development under cloud-native architecture(s).
Interest in investing/trading and the fintech industry
