What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Design, develop, and deploy scalable and resilient Data Lakehouse components using open-source technologies - Collaborate with the Staff Engineer to lead architecture sessions and reviews with peers and leadership - Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of Data Lakehouse solutions - Evaluate and recommend new software tools and technologies to enhance the platform - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering community
What is Required (Qualifications): - 3+ years of experience in software development, focusing on data infrastructure and platforms - Experience with open-source table formats (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Delta, Hudi) - Proficiency with open-source compute engines (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Trino/Presto) - Experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Hybrid Cloud) - Expertise in developing distributed systems that are scalable, resilient, and highly available
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience with container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes - Familiarity with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code - In-depth knowledge of DevOps concepts and cloud architecture - Experience in Azure Network (Subscription, Security zoning, etc.)
