Associate Software Engineer

+ Conduct high-level technical analysis of ideas to determine feasibility and approach. + Provide accurate work estimates, a critical component for building project timelines and establishing delivery commitments. + Maintenance and migration of existing code basis to newer platforms. + Execute test cases, verifying results to expected outcomes prior to release of code for business or client acceptance testing. + Provide input into integration, implementation and deployment content and strategies, maintaining operating manuals and system documentation as necessary. + Special projects, tasks or assignments, as required, to ensure the success of the department. + University degree in Computer Science or 3 years equivalent relevant work experience. + Solid knowledge of programming, testing & deployment tools, techniques, and languages applicable to the products or systems with which they work. + Strong knowledge of application analysis and design methodologies, including database concepts. + Practical experience with: Java, OpenText Exstream, .NET, DOS scripting, Perl and XML. + AWS experience is preferred. + Working knowledge of Emtex VDE scripting and the AFP file format preferred. + Working knowledge of the software development project life cycle and standards. + Requires 2x a week in the office (Edgewood (Long Island), Newark, Kansas City or Coppell). Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $90,000.
