Job Position
This position is responsible for supporting a variety of accounts payable-related tasks in a fast-paced environment. Efficiently and accurately enters data and processes manual accounts payable invoices, statement reconciliation. Assists with miscellaneous monthly invoices. Processes daily cash receipts. Assists accounting with special projects. Processes incoming mail. Provides accounting and clerical support. Assists with general office duties including making copies, scanning documents, mailing, bank deposits, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and have a strong attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Basic understanding of accounting principles, processes, and terminology. Ability to perform basic math: addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and find percentages. Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work with employees, vendors, and customers in a friendly and positive manner. Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts, and make decisions based on available information. Ability to use judgment and discretion. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and capability to learn new software. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma required. Two-year associate degree in accounting or 2-5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
