Do you thrive at the intersection of secure cloud architecture and enterprise-scale innovation? Quevera is seeking a future experienced
Cloud Architect III
to lead strategic cloud initiatives in a highly secure DoD environment. This is a critical role for a dynamic professional with deep expertise in cybersecurity compliance, hybrid cloud deployments, and multi-cloud architecture. Your work will directly support mission objectives, security assurance, and modernization efforts across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architecture efforts for secure cloud environments, including on-prem, off-prem, and hybrid models Conduct vulnerability assessments and systems security analysis across cloud deployments in line with DoD cybersecurity requirements Serve as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for secure cloud solutions, ensuring compliance with NIST, DoD, and industry standards Support the evaluation and integration of Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs), including XaaS solutions across multiple providers Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments Apply deep understanding of commercial CSOs and work with cloud providers to ensure secure service adoption Maintain alignment with cybersecurity compliance frameworks, contributing to risk assessments, remediation plans, and audit support Participate in cloud strategy development, ensuring solutions are forward-thinking and meet operational, technical, and security goals Document architecture decisions, standards, and best practices for knowledge transfer and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience; one additional year may substitute for degree) 10+ years of relevant experience in secure cloud environments, with at least 5 years in systems security or engineering disciplines Active IAT II+ or IAM II+ certification (per DoD 8570 requirements) Proven experience in vulnerability analysis, system security assessments, and ISSM responsibilities within secure cloud settings Experience working across on-prem, off-prem, and hybrid cloud architectures Strong understanding of XaaS and commercial cloud offerings (CSOs) Familiarity with DoD security requirements, policies, and secure authorization processes Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Demonstrated success in complex, enterprise-wide IT environments
