Office Status: On - Site Salary: Up to $275,000 Job Summary: A leading financial services firm is seeking a senior credit risk professional to lead its Counterparty Credit Risk function. This role reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer and is responsible for overseeing counterparty exposure across hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, broker-dealers, banks, and asset managers. This is not a lending risk role. The firm’s exposure is primarily settlement (DVP) risk, with a strong emphasis on real-time credit decisions, limit management, and regulatory compliance across a range of products and electronic trading platforms. The role manages a team of 7 credit professionals. Key Responsibilities: Lead counterparty credit risk reviews and manage exposure limits for a broad set of institutional clients. Handle daily limit requests and approvals across multiple trading desks, including electronic execution platforms. Apply SEC Rule 15c3-3, FINRA Rule 4210, and other regulatory frameworks in the governance of credit risk and pre-trade controls. Oversee the justification, documentation, and ongoing monitoring of credit limits and usage. Collaborate with front office, legal, compliance, and operations to ensure effective and timely credit risk decisions. Maintain and enhance risk policies, monitoring tools, and internal rating methodologies. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 7 credit risk professionals. Seniority level
