Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter professional to lead the development and implementation of complex solutions across Guidewire Cloud and on-premises platforms. The role requires hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, cloud technologies, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust and scalable insurance solutions.
Job Responsibilities: Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter and cloud technologies Configure Product Model, Entities, Batch processes, REST and Web Services, PCF, Gosu Scripts, and Rules Develop solutions integrating Guidewire out-of-the-box services, custom APIs, and third-party vendor APIs Lead code/design reviews to ensure quality and alignment with enterprise standards Guide and mentor junior engineers, and assist in onboarding new team members Resolve complex production issues and conduct end-to-end troubleshooting across systems Lead implementation of Guidewire Cloud across full project lifecycle: inception through deployment Migrate legacy systems to Guidewire on AWS Cloud using reusable migration patterns Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements such as scalability, resilience, disaster recovery, and performance Collaborate with architects, vendors, and executive stakeholders to define strategy and report progress Drive risk management and compliance in alignment with corporate policies Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to SAFe or similar Agile frameworks Maintain and monitor vendor SLOs, ensuring high availability and vendor accountability Required Skills:
6+ years of software development experience Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter (configuration and integration) Deep knowledge of Gosu, Java, REST APIs, and PolicyCenter components (Entities, PCF, Rules, Batch, Product Model) Guidewire Cloud implementation experience Experience with technologies like Java, Kafka, Spring, Redis, Kubernetes, and OpenShift Experience in migration from legacy systems to Guidewire on AWS Cloud Strong understanding of non-functional system requirements Proficient in Agile/SAFe frameworks and tools Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Ability to articulate technical solutions to both business and IT audiences Preferred Skills:
Guidewire PolicyCenter ACE 10.x certification Commercial Lines experience in Guidewire Program Management experience in an Agile environment Vendor management and architecture collaboration Public Cloud (AWS) environment exposure
Certifications:
Required: Guidewire PolicyCenter Associate Certification (v10.x)
Preferred: Guidewire ACE Certification (v10.x)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
