BARTENDER JOB SUMMARY
Quickly and efficiently provide food and beverage bar service to guests in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner.
Quickly and efficiently prepare the highest quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to be served to guests directly or through the serving staff.
Work professionally and effectively with servers and barbacks.
Maintain a positive work environment and a positive working relationship with coworkers.
Exceed our guests’ service standards and expectations, while adhering to direction from management.
BARTENDER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift
Have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner
Provide multiple guests food and beverage bar service in a quick, professional, and efficient manner
Knowledge of and ability to accurately describe all beverage offerings and specials
Take accurate orders while maximizing sales using selling techniques and product knowledge
Quickly and efficiently prepare the highest quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to be served to guests directly or through the serving staff including using proper glassware and garnish while following Company drink recipes
Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct
Provide exemplary guest service on a consistent basis
Correct and accurate execution of the POS system
Peel, slice, and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages
Follow all proper cash handling procedures and guidelines
Perform all service in compliance with all ABC laws and Company policies that relate to the service of alcoholic beverages and the prohibition against over-service, serving intoxicated patrons and serving minors
Complete any and all assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization
Properly set up and break down the bar before and after operating hours
BARTENDER SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS system
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and coworkers
Proficient verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environment
Strong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction
Must have extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards
Strong knowledge of standard drink recipes, spirits, wine, and beer
Strong understanding of classes of alcohol, different glasses, brand names and garnishes
Strong knowledge of bar equipment
Knowledge of proper food handling requirements
Knowledge of bar and kitchen items
Basic mathematical skills
Knowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venue
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar
Must be at least 118 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of Tennessee to serve alcoholic beverage
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
ServSafe Certification
ABC Server Permit
CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred
GROOMING
All employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company’s grooming standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures
Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees
Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.

Compensation :
