Job Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the country club's facilities, ensuring a welcoming and pristine environment for members, guests, and staff. This role includes cleaning, sanitizing, and replenishing supplies in all assigned areas while adhering to high standards of hospitality and service.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitation Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming across club facilities. Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, dining areas, and other high-traffic spaces. Ensure all surfaces, fixtures, and furniture are polished and spotless. Maintenance of Supplies
Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products in designated areas. Monitor inventory levels of housekeeping supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishments are needed. Event Support
Assist in set-up and breakdown, preparing event spaces by arranging tables, chairs, , and other equipment according to event specifications. Disassembling and storing equipment after events. Ensure linens, tablecloths, and other materials are clean, ironed, and properly set up for events. Safety and Compliance
Follow all safety protocols and procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor. Adhere to health and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. Member and Guest Interaction
Respond promptly and courteously to member and guest requests or inquiries regarding housekeeping services. Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the country club's standards of hospitality. Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is a plus, but not required. Skills and Competencies
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently with minimal supervision. Good physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with members and team members.
Requirements
Requires flexibility scheduling and must be able to work Tuesday to Sunday evenings from 2pm to 10pm.
Ability to understand assignment sheets and manage time in completing assignments
Bending and being able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Occasionally required to sit; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Standing and walking for extended periods of time, and the ability to move about
Good organizational skills (neat and orderly) and attention to detail (cleanliness)
Must be able to work cooperatively with others
