In keeping with the Marian Regional Medical Center philosophy, Responsible for the accurate preparation of I.V. solutions and medications under the supervision of the pharmacist in accordance with established procedures. Extreme accuracy must rule general principles of sterility and dosing associated with the compounding of all I.V.'s. Calculations must be double checked on all dosing computations. STAT requests must be given priority. Job responsibilities will be provided for patients of all ages. Major responsibilities are listed, however, at times the Pharmacist in Charge may be assigned other duties. Minimum Qualifications: Pharm Technician Certification/License. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language. Strong attention to detail. Able to follow both oral and written directions. Ability to be precise in filling medication orders and maintaining records. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, the patient, family, and the public. Basic knowledge of computers. Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
