Business Intelligence Analyst

Top candidates will have strong technical and analytical skills (data querying, SQL, data visualization, Tableau, etc), and also strong interpersonal skills (communication, teamwork, positivity, presentations, project management, etc). This is a HYBRID position; need to be local or willing to relocate local for 2 in-office days per week. Responsibilities

Participates within a multidisciplinary team across multiple locations. Translates business needs into technical solutions. Serve as a liaison between the end users and business intelligence project team. Collects and coordinates business requirements for analytic and reporting. Interviews end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality, and performance. Works with data warehouse architects to translate requirements into technical specifications. Works with end users and business analysts to ensure tight fit between BI environment and business requirements. Translate abstract business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects. Understands BI tool architecture, functions, features, and customizes BI tools to meet user needs. Provides data and financial analysis to clinical program, hospital, and health sciences management, and leadership. Performs program and operations analysis on cost, reimbursement, and profitability of service lines, programs, and procedures. Analyzes and audits cost data, patient level financial data, and other statistics. Supports and potentially leads, performance improvement initiatives. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Strong conceptual, communication, and technical skills. Detailed knowledge of variety of business processes and how these generate and use specific data sets. Experience using data warehouse or analytical tools for business purposes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements. Ability to work and effectively communicate with technical people. Ability to work and effectively communicate with operational leaders and administrators. Knowledge of BI tool architectures, functions, and features. Knowledge of SQL and relational and multidimensional database designs. Understanding of which data is used by which business processes and what the data means in the context of specific processes. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to apply creativity to analytics. Provides data and financial analysis to clinical program, hospital, and health sciences management, and leadership. Performs program and operations analysis on cost, reimbursement, and profitability of service lines, programs, and procedures. Analyzes and audits cost data, patient level financial data, and other statistics. Supports and potentially leads, performance improvement initiatives. Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Finance, Accounting, a related field, or the equivalency. Two years of experience in a related field. Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration. Healthcare Administration, or the equivalency. Experience with BI tools and SQL and relational and multidimensional database designs.
