Operations Shift Manager
Cleveland-Cliffs, Coshocton Works, located in East Central Ohio, a stainless finishing operation and one of the nation's leading producers of flat rolled stainless steel, has immediate openings for Operations Shift Managers. Summary of responsibilities includes: administration of company policies and procedures, supervision and work direction to hourly bargaining unit employees, participation and implementation of the safety program goals to ensure a safe work environment, adherence to the quality policy to promote continuous improvement of our products, processes and services, effective planning, organizing, controlling, and assignment of priorities, maintaining effective and consistent work performance even under uncertain or unstructured conditions in the face of stress, identifying basic problems, gathering appropriate information, and analyzing in an effective manner, making decisions with a clear business focus on safety, quality, environmental, and productivity, and assisting in the development, review, and update of JHSA's (Job Safety and Health Analysis) to eliminate safety hazards and QSOP's (Quality Standard Operating Procedures). Minimum qualifications include: supervisory experience in a business environment, proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills, and must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays and weekends when required. Preferred qualifications include: associate or bachelor's degree in technical, engineering, or business discipline, and three+ years of supervisor experience in an industrial union environment.
