Comptroller
We are a wholesale distributor of tobacco, candy, paper products and institutional food. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to assume responsibility for out financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the law. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Comptroller to oversee our organization's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting procedures, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This leadership role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and experience managing finance teams. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger Prepare monthly and annual financial reports Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts Ensure compliance with Federal, State, City and Tobacco Tax Reporting Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership Bank Reconciliation Posting Department cost reports Benefits: Hospitalization, Health Savings, Disability, Term Life and 401K Salary: $95-100k Plus Annual Bonus Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred) 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including supervisory roles Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills Apply today: Submit resume to Zach.Ellsworth@jfs.ohio.gov with "Comptroller" in the subject line.
