Associated Students (AS) is a comprehensive campus auxiliary corporation of CSU, Chico serving thousands of students, faculty, staff and community members through myriad student programs, services and business enterprises. AS operates residential and retail dining services, the Bell Memorial Union (BMU), and the Wildcat Recreation Center (WREC). Additionally, the AS offers a wide variety of services and programs such as: CAVE (Community Action Volunteers in Education), the Child Development Lab, Adventure Outings, Operation Programs and Services (OPS), Sustainability and student government.
Associated Students is now hiring for the position of
WREC Student Custodian;
position to start in August 2022. This is a part-time, non-benefited student position that will work no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session. The pay rate is
$16.50
per hour. The schedule for this position is based upon department needs and is subject to change at any time. To be eligible for student employment, you must be enrolled at CSU, Chico and maintain at least 6 units (undergraduate student) or 4 units (graduate student) throughout the course of employment.

SUMMARY
Assist with the daily cleaning operations of the WREC
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Perform green cleaning procedures Keep assigned areas clean and in orderly condition Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and maintaining floors Clean weights, equipment, and cardio machines Clean and vacuum rugs and carpets Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, and cabinets Empty and clean waste receptacles Remove recycling materials from bins as needed Clean hallways, restrooms, offices/rooms, lobby, etc. Restock restroom supplies Clean and dust walls, ceilings, louvers, vents, light fixtures, and windows Receive training to operate buffers, scrubbers, carpet extractors and other cleaning equipment properly Receive training to perform and maintain proper work safety standards Observe and report any needed repairs for WREC building and equipment Other duties may be assigned POSITIONS DIRECTLY SUPERVISED

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in the Wildcat Recreation Center, various campus locations and outside environments; contact with staff, campus community and public; use of small equipment and cleaning products.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand for extended periods; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computer, iPad, telephones, copier. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
