JOB SUMMARY
This labor-intensive warehouse position is responsible for hand-building pallets of products for bulk, route, and transport trucks. The role requires strict attention to order accuracy, proper stacking, and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation. Duties include loading and unloading trucks, using a forklift or powered pallet jack, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Work may be performed in various weather conditions, and shift duration depends on workload. The position involves frequent lifting of 20–45 lbs per case, along with constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping.
Key Responsibilities Operate powered pallet jack or forklift to pick products and build pallets/loads per load sheets or voice pick systems. Mark load tickets for out-of-stock items. Wrap and stage pallets for loading. Complete partial pallets and organize mixed pallets in designated storage areas. Load and unload pallets, raw materials, and returned products. Maintain pallet stability through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping in work areas. Follow all warehouse safety and operational guidelines. Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance. Required Qualifications
18 years of age or older. Ability to lift 20–45 lbs repeatedly during extended work periods. Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, and grasp continuously throughout shift. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a warehouse environment (order selection, product staging, pallet jack/forklift operation). Experience driving forklifts, including maneuvering in tight areas and handling loads safely. Familiarity with racking systems, loading/unloading pallets, and maximizing storage space. Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
