ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE TO THE PROVOST OFFICE

OVERVIEW: DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. POSITION SUMMARY: The position of Administrative Associate provides advanced administrative support to the Office of Academic Affairs - specifically the Assistant Dean of Adult and Continuing Education and the Associate Provosts. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that the Office of Adult and Continuing Education operates effectively, efficiently, and professionally. The Administrative Associate will work closely with the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Provost & Academic Affairs managing academic workflow and work closely with the Academic Affairs Office Specialist who serves as the liaison between Academic Affairs and the Human Resources department with responsibilities for all contract administration including onboarding new faculty hires and resignations.

The position will require cross training with the Executive Administrative Assistant and be flexible to take on additional project responsibilities as academic programs, majors, and certificates continue to expand in the University.

The position requires a high degree of sound judgment, confidentiality, and initiative with minimal instruction or supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, some college work or equivalent work experience preferred Minimum of 5 years' experience providing support Ability to exercise independent judgment, maintain confidentiality, and deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Innovative and critical thinking skills Demonstrated high-level proficiency with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and use of executing electronic signatures (DocuSign) Sensitivity to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity Dedication to the mission of a medium-sized, Catholic, liberal arts higher education institution
