As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Parsons, you will work with development teams and mission owners to create test plans that identify software, hardware, and system problems as well as find possible root causes of failure. Successful candidates must have the ability to communicate effectively with technical team members, managers, and customers. What You'll Be Doing: Providing test plans and software automation engineering expertise to deliver incremental features to a wide range of products and systems (hardware, software, virtual) Design, develop, and integrate test and evaluation techniques into our automation frameworks, identify poor performing software/hardware and implement fixes to increase reliability, log defects, test scalability of systems, and provides status reports on the progress of tasks Create, execute, improve, and maintain automation test scripts through standard methodologies, closely monitor test results for swift feedback, and participate in peer code reviews Documentation: Creating comprehensive documentation for automation processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures for educating team members on automation best practices Required Skills: Must have active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and be amenable for poly upgrade Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience Proficiency in Linux command line environment Proficiency in one or more scripting and programming languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash Problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot automation issues and optimize workflows Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Desired Skills: A Bachelor of Science in engineering, scientific, technical discipline, or comparable work experience Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef Experience with network configuration Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, OpenStack, VirtualBox) Experience with RVTM, FAT, Acceptance Testing, and other formal testing procedures and documentation Security Clearance Requirement: An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
