Supply Chain Planner
This role requires candidates to be U.S. citizens, national U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or individuals granted asylum, due to export control laws and regulations. As a Production Planner within the Environmental Test Lab, you will play a crucial role in a project/initiative. You will create and optimize systems to ensure efficient movement of flight hardware through environmental test operations, balancing aerospace traceability requirements with production efficiency while maintaining flexibility for rapid design iteration. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain production schedules that optimize test equipment utilization while meeting downstream integration needs. Create systems to balance production and development test priorities. Communicate test status and estimated completion dates to leadership and ensure schedule/metric goals are understood by production personnel. Monitor, track, and move parts as required through production flow to ensure timely delivery to next production location. Support management of material certifications to prevent the use of un-certified materials. Partner with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues with dependencies before a test is delayed. Work cross-functionally to develop and improve production scheduling tools and WIP tracking. Essential Skills: 3-4 years of experience in production planning or operations management. Experience with MES/ERP systems and production scheduling tools. Understanding of aerospace quality and traceability requirements. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies. Knowledge of environmental test operations. Experience implementing automated material tracking systems. Work Environment: This position operates on a night shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm PST, Monday to Friday. The role involves executing tests following clear work instructions with defined escalation paths, directly enabling SSL to meet production launch targets and scale. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
