GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
The purpose of this position is to support the Agency's needs by managing and maintaining all financial reporting for the Community Renewal Team including Flash Reports, Job 6 reports, finance committee reports and other reports as needed under the supervision of the CFO. The Controller will also provide oversight of all treasury functions, cash flow analysis, banking, and manage relationships with key financial vendors to provide the maximum return on invested funds. The Controller will also oversee all financial software functions to fully utilize the capabilities of the accounting software. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of strong accounting and financial experience with at 5 years as a Financial Manager/Controller in a non-profit organization.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Work closely with the CFO to drive budgetary/financial planning, cost management, and maximizing spending of all grant dollars. Work with the CFO in developing annual and multiyear budgets, assessing organization financial performance, long term strategizing, and providing recommendations to enhance financial performance. Lead the Finance team in functions of reporting, revenue analysis, audit and tax filings, cash management and forecasting, and investment and asset management. Work with the CFO to ensure compliance and timely filing with federal and state taxes. Work with the CFO to ensure cross team communications, prioritizing work and coordinating the workflow. Manage liaison activities with the bank, external auditors, and software vendor. Perform other tasks, special reports as needed and instructed by the CFO. Create the flash reports for VPs and CFO review. Coordinate with the CFO to prepare all reports needed for the monthly Finance Committee meetings. Work with the CFO to complete the year end financial statements and footnotes. Review all reports with the CFO. Create special reports as needed for the CFO and CEO. Act as Senior Accountant for the Meadows/Hartford Assisted Living Limited Partnership (HALLP). Review program job 6 reports and income statements after the monthly closing. ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA and/or Master's degree required.
Minimum Years of Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience required. Minimum four years of experience in a senior Finance management role required. Public Accounting and/or not for profit human service industry experience preferred.
Knowledge: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles required. Knowledge of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance preferred.
Demonstrated Skills: Requires Windows, financial software and MS Office skills with advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service and organizational skills.

Active Driver License in good standing required upon hire and throughout employment.
