Quality Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a Quality Laboratory Technician to provide the analytical support required for the quality control of processes, products, and the environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest priority is given to the health, safety, security, and protection of the environment in all activities performed at the Baton Rouge location. Responsibilities include: Analyzing finished product samples per standard operating procedures to determine finished product quality, using various techniques Performing regular inspections for lab equipment and work areas to ensure safety Participating in what-if, PSSR, and RCAs for lab incidents and MOCs Attending monthly site and lab safety meetings Performing preventative maintenance of analytical instruments per schedule Troubleshooting and repairing analytical instruments Maintaining calibration records per ISO 9002, FSSC 22000, or regulatory requirements as applicable Preparing eluents, diluents, and other reagents per calibration standards Performing scheduled QA/QC checks Analyzing outfall spikes and duplicates per schedule Cross analyzing actual samples between the main and process laboratories Performing method variability and method detection limit studies Participating in inter-lab testing with other Syensqo AP plants Participating in method gage R&R studies Maintaining inventory control of operating supplies, chemicals, and lab ware Performing routine housekeeping of work areas Shipping samples as needed Participating in ISO 9002 / FSSC 22000, customer, and environmental audits Cleaning and inspecting glassware Reviewing and revising analytical procedures Assisting in any MOC documents necessary Assisting in the creation and revision of any necessary procedures Managing all records of documentation within the AODocs document control system Promoting an environment that fosters clear communication, positive motivation, and a desire for continuous quality improvement You will bring: High school diploma or equivalent is required Experience in a manufacturing environment Good organizational skills, with an ability to juggle multiple projects, short deadlines, frequent interruptions, and shifting priorities Independent thinking and ability to operate in an autonomous way Ability to identify and prioritize important tasks Able to react quickly to new and changing situations Ability to work around others, but independently You will get: Competitive salary and benefits package Health insurance Life insurance 16 weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave Training platform for all employees Free language courses (24 languages available) Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological) About us: Syensqo is a science company developing groundbreaking solutions that enhance the way we live, work, travel and play.
