Our diabetes division in Alameda California has an opportunity for a Project Manager, Analytics and Competitive Insights within our Abbott Diabetes Care, New Medical Sensors business. This position will lead key analytics and competitive insights initiatives and fuel growth by delivering actionable insights that guide strategy and influence decision making across product development and marketing / commercial efforts. This individual will gather and leverage customer, market, and competitive data on industry trends globally to develop an understanding of share, forecasted growth, future opportunity with specific recommendations on how to capitalize on opportunity. This individual should have a strong analytical background as well as strong ability to communicate as they will be accountable for synthesizing and translating insights into strategic recommendations and actions at senior leadership levels. What You'll Work On: Collaborates with the internal teams to provide competitive insights based on primary and/or secondary research and analytics. Understands the marketplace, competitor dynamics and ensures those insights are brought to life and acted upon with our global and regional business partners. Oversee secondary data analytics across a variety of sources (e.g. IQVIA, Dq&A, Adelphi, public analyst reports, etc). Proactively uncover trends and insights through data to bring customers and opportunities to life in new ways enabling customer informed decision making across the organization. Works with cross-functional stakeholders to define and execute learning needs that are aligned to organizational goals Responsible for working with team on model and data visualization improvements and tools for faster analysis and communication of results. Find creative and compelling ways to generate, present, and evangelize results and recommendations throughout the company, to help cultivate a highly informed, more effective, and more empathetic organization. Translate business problems into research objectives and integrate cross-functional questions/needs into all research to ensure insights are relevant and actionable across teams; proactively share and present research findings across the business. Connects the dots between disparate pieces of information to develop prescriptive recommendations on how to grow the business. Be seen as a trusted leader with the ability to influence, develop and maintain a highly effective team. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a matrix environment with track record of career growth. Must have experience working in business analytics/forecasting, competitive intelligence. Experience in healthcare, consumer packaged goods, medical devices or pharmaceuticals a plus. Expertise in secondary data analytics and forecasting methods Expertise in data visualization Familiar with translating data into actionable recommendations to the business Ability to understand business needs and develop and communicate information around those needs will drive success within this position. Detail oriented: understands implications of data limitations and can spot and interpret data discrepancies. Expertise in synthesizing across multiple data sets in a meaningful way. Conducts products in a consistent and representative manner with attention to detail. Ability to apply logic, critical thinking, and assumptions without complete information. Whole brained thinker who combines data with deep empathy and strong storytelling. Experience working with interdependent cross-functional and global teams. Strategic thinker who approaches challenges with a "possibilities and learning" mindset. Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate dynamic project scopes. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree SPSS preferred The base pay for this position is $112,000.00 $224,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
