Systems Administrator
SAIC is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the US Army Corps of Engineers RITS Program in Vicksburg, MS. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain currently supported and subsequent Microsoft (MS) Windows Server Operating Systems (OS) on physical and virtual operating environments. Assist in storage and data management, specifically file and folder permissions. Support operational transition of enterprise solutions into production. Provide support for Active Directory (AD) accounts and groups, network storage, servers, and Exchange accounts. Primary escalation POC for local servers, storage, network, and telecom outages, projects, and Enterprise Operations issues. Follow documented processes and procedures and monitor ticketing system, district and divisional incidents and requests, and address local Service Delivery requirements. Work closely with other support personnel to provide top-tier support to on-site and remote personnel. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelors and two (2) years of relevant experience; four (4) years of additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree. Required Security Clearance: Must have an Interim Secret Clearance to begin employment; must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance to maintain employment. Required Certifications: Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level II (example: Security+ CE). Must obtain appropriate DOD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of employment. Required Skills: Comprehension of NTFS file share permissions. Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos and LDAP. Basic networking experience (TCP/IP, routing, SSH, OpenVPN) Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system. Demonstrated professional experience with Windows Server 2012; Windows Server 2016. Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments. Ability to work well independently on defined tasks. Demonstrated aptitude for learning and rapidly mastering new applications and technology. Desired Skills: Experience maintaining Xerox, Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices (i.e. installing maintenance kits) Prior USACE/ACE-IT experience Experience working in a DoD environment Experience supporting Office 365
