The posted compensation range of $29.02 - $42.08 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. Days and shifts vary. Weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities. The Staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs departmental Nuclear and PET/CT examinations, assists the radiologist during procedures, and produces high quality images. The technologist follows the standards established by the radiologist and such state, local, and federal standards which may apply. Serves the following age-specific patient populations: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Uses two patient identifiers Compares doctor's order to requisition for accuracy Assesses patient for possible artifacts and takes appropriate action to prevent interference with image Calculates, prepares, and administers proper patient dose and correct radiopharmaceutical according to dept. standard. Properly disposes of radioactive waste, contaminated lines, and spent radiopharmaceuticals Routinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload. Coordinates multiple exams into the proper sequence to ensure no conflicts of exams. Assesses the doctor's order and the patient's diagnosis to determine optimal images. Assesses patient's condition, comfort, and safety during procedures. Observes and reports to physician any change in patient's condition during the procedure. Communicates accurate patient information in a timely manner to peers, physicians, and other departments. Uses all diagnostic computer and communication equipment within safe limits. Other duties as assigned by management. High School graduate or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program Registered/registry eligible in Nuclear Medicine Must be registered within 3 months of hiring AHA BLS RNSouthEast Be a part of something new!
