Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Linux Systems Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and maintaining systems running Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our Linux-based environments. Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu and RHEL). Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability. Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly; maintain administrative tools and utilities. Manage system backups and disaster recovery operations. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain system security through access controls, firewalls, and regular audits. Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or configuration management tools. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support application deployment and infrastructure needs. Required Skills

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Ubuntu Linux system administration Shell scripting (e.g., Bash) System monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix) Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) Windows Server (basic familiarity) Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance at the start of employment. Typically requires a university degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is acceptable. 3+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
