JOB SUMMARY
The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines used in the production of plastic parts. This role involves setup, calibration, and shutdown of machines, performing quality inspections, tracking production data, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities Follow job traveler/work order to operate injection molding machines. Perform setup, calibrations, and shutdown of machines as needed. Conduct visual and precision measurement quality checks during and after production. Maintain work and break schedules to ensure optimal machine performance. Unload finished parts, stack, and bag products for storage or shipping. Operate computer systems to load/run work instructions and record production, scrap, downtime, and machine adjustments. Report issues, downtime, and nonconforming products promptly to management. Segregate and label products not meeting specifications. Assist with tasks in other manufacturing areas as required. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous machine production operation experience, ideally in injection molding. Ability to follow documented procedures and processes. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Desire to work in a motivated and energetic team environment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual communication skills a plus. Preferred Qualifications
Prior injection molding experience strongly preferred.
