Defense Order Management Specialist
The Defense Order Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing all post-award transactions relating to the processing of U.S. Government contracts or awards. Responsibilities also include all transactions pertaining to the Distribution small business (Broker Sales) and foreign military (FMS) customer base. What you will be responsible for: Manage all customer order backlog from order creation to material shipment. Electronically file shipment notifications/instructions and invoices to DOD (WAWF - Wide Are Workforce). Ensure all shipments, USG and Broker Sales, meet export compliance requirements. Electronically file shipment instruction requests to DOD using Vendor Shipment Module (VS). Electronically maintain all open GOV contract/Broker Sales, FMS folders. Work cooperatively with other members of the Defense group as well as other departments within the corporation to ensure the highest service level possible. This includes actively participating in group meetings/project teams and consistently striving to improve the organization. Ensure that department procedures are understood and followed. All other duties assigned. Qualifications: What you need to be successful in this role: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
