Marine Corps Community Services Bartender Position
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team-oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors, and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities include leading bartenders in the preparation of alcohol and nonalcoholic beverages, mixing a wide variety of drinks to order following established recipes, receiving payment or charges to members account, making change and being accountable for cash fund, assisting in taking inventory and maintaining records, keeping the bar area clean and stocked properly, washing bar equipment, glassware, and utensils, and performing sanitation duties within assigned work area as required. This is a keyholder position and includes securing the facility at the end of business hours. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have bartender experience, the ability to mix and serve a wide variety of beverages, skill to completely set-up a bar and recognize impending shortages of supplies, ability to collect tabs, cash, and is accountable for cash and inventory, ability to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed, must possess leadership abilities, meet minimum age requirements, and have a minimum of one year leader experience. Physical demands include walking or standing for prolonged periods of time, frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying objects weighing 5 to 15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10 to 20 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to and over 40 pounds. Work environment includes working inside with adequate lighting, heat, and ventilation, and may work outside in support of offsite catering events. Subject to cuts, bruises, and chapped hands.
