Production Planner

As a Production Planner, you will be the expert in all areas of the production process to develop production plans that meet both the needs of the customer and the plant. You will be responsible for master scheduling, raw material availability, order management, production scheduling, marketing logistics, customer fulfillment, and inventory management. You will ensure both short-term and medium-term planning processes are followed to balance supply to meet demand and maintain healthy Finished Goods levels to achieve optimal service and working capital performance. You will report to a Supply Chain Manager, Liquid Coatings and work onsite in Brazil, IN. Maintain the accuracy of and edit production schedules, planning reports to lead daily tier meetings. Collaborate with team members including Customer Service team to determine future customer product needs and timing. Understand lead times for the entire production process along with individual processes within the process. Create and print production batches within MRP system. Focus will be on the required due date and customer specific requirements. Work with Production, Plant, and Supply Chain Managers to establish feasibility of schedule based on workforce, equipment, and raw material availability. Attend daily production floor operations meetings with plant supervisors, engineers, and planners. Collaborate with supply chain planning team to resolve issues and improve processes, escalate supply concerns, and ensure the availability of raw materials. Monitor assigned items inventory health and minimize recoverable assets. Take actions that support team goals to achieve Customer On Time Delivery requirements and meet target inventory levels minimizing slow-moving or obsolete inventory. Qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field; OR in lieu of a degree, equivalent combination of industry experience, training, and skills. 3+ combined years of Supply Chain or Operations experience in a manufacturing facility. Basic understanding of Production Planning/Scheduler Planning methodology. APICS or ASCM certification (CSCP, CPIM) is desirable. Oracle, SAP, or other ERP/Data Entry system experience. Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc...). Experience with Business Intelligence Tools (MS Power BI) or SQL applications is a plus but is not required.
