Business Analyst - Data Services

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Enterprise and Technology Division within the Data Services Branch. This organization manages the investment of billions in public funds and administers benefits for hundreds of thousands of public sector employees, including state workers, law enforcement, municipal employees, and educational support staff. Location: Remote but must be within 2 hours of Frankfort, KY Key Responsibilities

Lead smaller-scale design projects, including facilitating design meetings, gathering and analyzing data, and documenting requirements. Collaborate with development and technical teams to support the implementation of new features and system enhancements. Assist in backlog prioritization and support product owners by writing acceptance criteria and test cases. Conduct thorough testing of system changes, including writing, executing, and documenting complex test scripts. Research and recommend solutions for production issues. Troubleshoot and assess the criticality of issues raised by business teams. Fulfill data requests and corrections using both business knowledge and technical tools. Analyze proposed legislation for potential operational impact. Create and maintain process documentation. Desired Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years of experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process and software design, documentation, and QA testing. Proven experience leading design sessions with both business and technical stakeholders to implement and prioritize application enhancements. Required Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in conveying technical information clearly Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate resources effectively Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and provide regular updates Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team goals Preferred Skills
