IT Service Manager

General Purpose We're seeking an experienced IT professional to lead the administration, development, documentation, and technical support of our IT Service Management process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C#, .NET, React, Typescript, and Javascript, with expertise in gathering requirements, architecting systems, and creating project plans. Additionally, we need someone who can design and architect a new system to meet our growing business needs. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities Identify opportunities for improvement and transform them into quantifiable and achievable initiatives Must be a dynamic and self-starting individual who is able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal guidance and direction Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization. Experience in defining detailed business requirements to support projects. Provide support for all business applications, including troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues and service outages. Able to document best practices for queries, configurations, database, connections, security and segregation. Able to develop and script using PowerShell, VB Script or other code to automate Standard SQL Server builds, monitoring, inventory and research. Develop and maintain technical documentation, best practices, and standards Key Competencies Complex problem solving identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Critical Thinking using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Monitoring Monitoring / Assessing performance to make improvements or take corrective action Active Learning Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future business needs Benefits Competitive pay Opportunity for growth Medical, dental and disability insurance 401K with company match 80 hours paid vacation - first year Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or higher in related field 5+ years of Technical Engineering Experience with Software or a related field Proficient in C#, .NET, React, Typescript, and Javascript Strong knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Execution Plans, and SQL Server Profiler Experience with Azure, PowerShell, VB Script, and other scripting languages Experience in working with Azure DevOps Environment Experience with system architecture and design patterns Knowledge of cloud computing technology and systems (Azure and Office365) will be a plus. Experience in Airline industry will be a plus Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted in and out of the U.S. Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check Must have a valid Driver's License and meet all company insurance criteria
