Interventional Radiology Technologist

We're looking for a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our Imaging Services team. In this role, you'll assist with a variety of angiographic and interventional radiology procedures, helping deliver minimally invasive, image-guided treatments in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures Operate and maintain fluoroscopy units, C-arm, and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to sterile technique. Administer and monitor contrast media usage in accordance with safety protocols. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other technologists to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care. Maintain accurate documentation in the PACS and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Participate in on-call rotations as required. Qualifications
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required. Advanced certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) preferred but not required BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Minimum of 12 years of experience in a hospital or interventional radiology setting preferred but will train new graduates Proficiency in operating angiography and fluoroscopy equipment. Strong knowledge of anatomy, sterile technique, radiation safety, and contrast media protocols. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Why Join FirstHealth of the Carolinas?
