The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and executing manual and automated tests across our product lines. They collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Stakeholders to ensure each release meets the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and performance. They own the verification process consisting of planning test scenarios, implementing end-to-end tests, analyzing results, and identifying trends. They champion a culture of continuous improvement in how our products work and in how they are developed. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will advocate for quality assurance practices and drive initiatives to improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software products. The ideal candidate is driven to continuously improve the SDLC and enhance the quality of our software products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Organize verification processes for both new and existing products, identifying high-risk areas and implementing rigorous test strategies. Develop and manage test plans and test cases to validate product features, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional, non-functional, and user acceptance scenarios. Design, create, and maintain automated tests, introducing new testing solutions for scalable, repeatable testing. Conduct end-to-end testing to deep-dive into product features, exposing vulnerabilities and ensuring robust performance across diverse use cases. Advocate for realistic development timelines, test automation with CI/CD, and reduction of technical debt. Document test procedures, methodologies, and metrics, providing clear guidelines for team members and ensuring consistent quality standards. Provide detailed bug reports and root cause analyses to development teams, tracking issues to resolution and preventing recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product Managers, Stakeholders, and Developers) to prioritize testing activities, manage schedules, and communicate findings. Integrate shift-left testing and test-driven development principles into project lifecycles, identifying issues early to reduce time-to-market. Perform structured testing sessions with internal users to capture real-world feedback, simulate practical usage scenarios, and refine test coverage. Produce and present quality metrics to QA and development staff, driving data-supported decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
