Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician supports production operations by performing complex maintenance tasks and mentoring junior technicians. This role requires proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and facility systems, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and cont inuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Lead and execute complex maintenance activities with minimal supervision. Mentor junior technicians to enhance departmental skill sets. Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, including gear pullers, hydraulic jacks, mag drills, and precision alignment tools. Use measuring devices and lifting equipment such as hoists, boom cranes, and scissor lifts. Operate standard shop equipment including bandsaws, hydraulic presses, lathes, mills, and shears. Perform preventative maintenance tasks including lubrication, adjustments, part repairs, and safety checks. Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems (plumbing, electrical, rigging, cabinetry, etc.). Read and interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams, service manuals, and interconnect drawings. Service and overhaul components such as air/hydraulic cylinders, motors, valves, pumps, and motion elements. Prioritize tasks and outages efficiently while multitasking. Maintain accurate documentation and complete paperwork neatly. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines. Keep a clean and organized work area. Work various shifts and overtime as needed to meet product ion demands.

Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years technical training or 5+ years of related experience. Advanced knowledge in one or more skilled maintenance disciplines (mechanical systems, electrical controls, electronics, PLCs, sensors). Prior Lockout/Tagout experience. Basic computer proficiency. Strong mechanical aptitude. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments. Comfortable working at heights over 30 ft and in extreme temperature conditions. Tolerance for exposure to dust, heat, noise, wood dust, and aluminum.

Preferred Qualifications Basic PLC coding and programming knowledge. Experience with HVAC systems, compressed air, dust collection, and electrical distribution .
