Come join MUSC/Florence Pharmacy as a full-time Lead State Certified Pharmacy Tech! In partnership with the Pharmacy Manager, the lead pharmacy technician supervises the facility's pharmacy technician staff. This includes personnel management, performance management, payroll monitoring, scheduling, training, and compliance. The lead pharmacy technician will be given one administrative day per week (whenever the schedule allows) to focus on these duties, in addition to regular staffing responsibilities. Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s), the lead pharmacy technician participates in all pharmacy technician duties including but not limited to: assisting in all pharmacy operations' functions related to: (1) preparation & distribution of all doses of medication; (2) maintenance of drug inventories (e.g., re-stocking automated dispensing cabinets throughout the hospital, drug packaging/re-packaging, extemporaneous compounding, code cart re-stock, etc); and, (3) completion of patients' records pertaining to drug therapy (aminoglycoside protocol orders, drug charges & credits etc). Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Minimum experience: (Preferred) five or more years of experience in a hospital or health system pharmacy Licensure: Pharmacy Technician State Certification in SC required MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is a leading regional acute care facility comprised of 396 patient beds and more than 1,500 employees and nearly 300 physicians representing all major specialties.
