This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area or Redondo Beach, CA. This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining a US Government security clearance per customers' requirements. Basic Qualifications
For Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements Management): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master's Degree; OR 1 years with a PhD Demonstrated experience managing requirements of large-scale systems Requirements development from decomposition and allocation, to verification Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR Experience in systems development, integration, and/or test Experience managing requirements within an iterative and agile environment Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder interactions This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph per customer requirements prior to start For Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements Management): Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with at least 5 years of experience; 3 years with Master's Degree; OR 1 years with a PhD Demonstrated experience managing requirements of large-scale systems Requirements development from decomposition and allocation, to verification Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR Experience in systems development, integration, and/or test Experience managing requirements within an iterative and agile environment Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder interactions This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph per customer requirements prior to start Preferred Qualifications
For Principal / Senior Principal Systems Engineer (Requirements Management): Certificate or advanced degree in Systems Engineering Risk and Opportunity Management experience Experience developing engineering content for major systems engineering reviews Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements Ability to manage a large database of requirements across systems, subsystems, and lower-level components Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally Experience with MBSE and Requirements management tools, such as Cameo and DOORS Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence Familiarity with data visualization tools: Tableau Familiarity with a specialty discipline, including but not limited to: Embedded SW Engineering, Digital Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, etc. Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $165,500.00 Salary Range 2: $131,100.00 - $206,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
