Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

General procurement activities:

Support with maintenance of approved supplier list. Report supply chain performance to suppliers and act as needed to achieve goals. Establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with suppliers. Purchase raw material utilizing supplier portal system. Support AS9100 Quality Management System requirements and follow outlined processes and procedures. Negotiate and maintain supplier contracts. Facilitate supplier non-conformance communications. Manage Orion procurement activities using Epicor ERP:

Review MRP for purchased product, verify and resolve demand. Select sources of supply, material requirements and costs for raw materials, purchase complete components, services, and outside processes. Issue purchase order. Participate in quoting process for manufactured items:

Assess customer requirements utilizing drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards. Participate in make/buy decisions by providing supplier cost and capability information. Assess supplier risk based on previous performance, capabilities, and any available supplier data. Provide estimated material cost, outside processing cost and lead time for use in quoting process. Requirements

Qualifications:

APICS certification and Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and AS9100. Ability to interpret aerospace engineering drawings and specifications. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Thorough understanding of aerospace purchasing procedures and policies. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Salary Description

$31.50-$38.50
