POSITION/TITLE: Quality Auditor Night Shift on a rotating schedule (Seasonal 3-4 months) WORK LOCATION: Tolleson, AZ POSITION REPORTS TO: Quality Supervisor WORK TYPE: ON SITE JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Auditor is responsible for conducting visual audits and tests of finished goods to ensure quality standards are met and sustained. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Audit production lines in accordance with established Quality Control Procedures and documents test results. Informs the Quality Lead and Production Supervisor of any defects found in a timely manner. Verify that all print and production jobs meet the requirements of the product specification sheet, which includes graphics, color and product position. Performs general tests specified on the finished and in-production product to determine if it is in compliance Performs special testing required by national accounts, which may include but not limited to, deflection testing, gloss testing, volatilize testing analysis as well as other special tests. Maintains departmental records, orders supplies and prepares solution formulation for seeper testing. Responsible for informing the leadership team immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure that corrective action is taken. Records all activities of inspections and audits on proper forms and submit to supervisor or plant manager as required or at end of shift. Maintains an adequate supply of testing materials and forms to ensure a smooth operation of activities during shift with no disruptions or missed tests. Attends meetings and training sessions as required. Follows all GMP and sanitation guidelines along with maintaining a high level of personal hygiene. Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping a clean work area at all times. Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead Quality, Supervisor or Department Manager.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma REQUIRED EXPEREINCE/SKILLS: One year in a Quality Control or Quality Analyst position. One year in a manufacturing environment. Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Microsoft Office, etc.). Good oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English WORK ENVIRONMENT (Manufacturing Plant): The characteristics listed below are representative of the work environment typically encountered by an individual while performing the essential duties of a position in our manufacturing plants. Note that office positions located within our Manufacturing Plants often require some plant floor presence throughout the day so these work environment details may not always apply, they should still be noted.
Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts. Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned. Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles. Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times. Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated. Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated. standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, use hands to finger, grasp with hands and arms, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and lifting throughout the entire shift. Requires the manual movement of cases of finished goods that weight up to 25 pounds.
